What the 2026 official statement says

Authorization has a defined activity and scope

In its 27 August 2026 statement, the Ministry of Finance describes restricted existing licences and stronger action against unlicensed and online gambling. That grants no 1win permission. An overseas licence is not Malaysian authorization; see the distinction.

Rules for a permitted physical activity cannot simply be applied to a remote casino. A similar brand name is insufficient too. A specific conclusion requires the operator, activity and document covering the precise service.

DuitNow identifies recipients, not casino legality

PayNet describes DuitNow Transfer as a transfer into an account or wallet linked to an identifier and advises checking the recipient’s name. A phone identifier does not prove representation of 1win or permission to fund betting. DuitNow, FPX and Touch ’n Go are not verified here as current operator methods.

MYR and RM: one currency, different records

30/400 = 7.5%. This is not an asserted DuitNow or 1win fee, only the proportion of a hypothetical discrepancy. Check original currency, disclosed charges and whether different transactions were mixed. RM denotes ringgit; MYR is its currency code.

Retain timezone too: Malaysia uses UTC+8. A 20: 00 local record corresponds to 12: 00 UTC. This identifies the same payment without confusing request, approval and receipt.

What I would do with an earlier account and balance

I would first collect receipts and seek written clarification of pending status through a previously verified channel. A blocked balance is not repaired by paying an alleged manager more money. Where legal restrictions arise, obtain local guidance before further transactions. Changing currency, owner or country does not resolve them.

Account help prepares a precise inquiry. Bonus terms may explain promotional components without justifying further wagering. For a compromised account, secure email and sessions, preserve evidence and limit shared information under privacy principles.

Apps, sports and comparison with Indonesia

Indonesia has a different framework despite regional payment connections. Cryptocurrency does not turn an overseas licence into Malaysian permission. My conclusion concerns the exact service and authorization rather than the technology moving funds.

Instant transfers do not mean instant review

A payment network’s speed describes only part of the process. It does not determine internal review, identity checks or dispute handling. An “instant” marketing promise therefore cannot establish a complete recovery timeline for an older balance.

Without a provider reference, an internal screen status does not prove money was sent. Nor is a delay automatically attributable to DuitNow: identify the unresolved stage and the party responsible for explaining it.
